My Philosophy of working with a body
May 2026
As my first post on this site, I’d like to share briefly the philosophy that guides my approach to bodywork and stretching.
For me, the body is an indivisible whole. Your feet begin adapting the moment you think of moving a finger; your digestive organs influence not only digestion but also your hormonal balance and nervous system; and almost every cell is interconnected through that mysterious web of connective tissue we call fascia. Yes, the body is complex and simple at the same time — beautiful and magical at any age.
When I lay my hands on a body, they begin reading the tensions, the imbalances, the strengths. I often start at the belly — where your umbilical cord once was, where many of the fascial lines converge, and where so many organs interact. The fascia surrounding the abdominal organs is richly innervated and plays a critical role in emotional processing and nervous system regulation. Bringing balance to the digestive and filtering organs is also essential for optimizing overall health.
The broad array of modalities I offer, combined with years of experience, allows me to approach the body from many perspectives. The myofascial lens sees it as a network of tensions held in a delicate tensegrity. The osteopathic vision sees the body as infinitely wise, always seeking to balance itself — where the slightest touch can have the deepest impact. The lymphatic perspective sees the body as fluid and dynamic. The craniosacral view sees it as a landscape of vibrations and energies in constant dialogue. Each of these offers its own layer of reality. I love moving between them as though navigating a complex network of rivers and fjords.
